  1. System Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring the SAP system, including the application servers, database servers, and other necessary components. This involves performing system sizing, defining system parameters, and ensuring optimal system performance.
  2. System Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitoring the SAP system's performance, analysing system logs, and identifying performance bottlenecks. They optimize system performance by fine-tuning system parameters, managing workload distribution, and implementing performance improvement measures.
  3. System Upgrades and Patch Management: Planning and executing system upgrades to newer versions of SAP software. They also apply software patches and fixes to address system vulnerabilities and ensure the system is up to date with the latest enhancements and security measures.
  4. System Backup and Recovery: Implementing backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data and ensure business continuity. They design and maintain backup schedules, perform system backups, and establish disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and downtime.
  5. Transport Management: Managing the movement of software changes across different system landscapes using the SAP transport management system. They coordinate the release of transports, perform quality checks, and ensure the integrity of the system during the transport process.
  6. System Integration: Collaborating with other technical teams and functional consultants to integrate the SAP system with external systems, such as third-party applications, databases, or middleware. They ensure seamless data flow and compatibility between the SAP system and other integrated systems.
  7. System Documentation and Reporting: Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base. They prepare technical reports on system performance, incidents, and upgrades for management and stakeholders.
  8. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigating and resolving technical issues related to the SAP system. They analyse system errors, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions to minimize system downtime and ensure system stability.
