Collaboration on climate-neutral ambition

The ten-year partnership agreement is characterized by its innovative nature, with shared strategic objectives intended to accomplish Eneco’s ‘One Planet’ plan. Eneco’s ambition is to be fully climate neutral by 2035, in terms of both its own energy consumption and that of its customers. This is a shared incentive to keep the time-to-market of new solutions as short as reasonably possible.

The five-year framework agreement centres around the development, continued development, and implementation of innovative and scalable technology platforms that are consistent with Eneco’s role as a forerunner in boosting the sustainability of the Netherlands. With its dynamic ecosystem of more than 25 expert companies, Conclusion is providing a multi-disciplinary service to support Eneco’s mission-critical processes.

Folkert Reitsma, CIO of Eneco: ‘In its One Planet plan, Eneco has formulated its ambition to be climate neutral by 2035 – in both its own activities and those of its customers. That feeds in to everything that we do. It’s not something that we can do alone, which is why we have chosen to enter into a ten-year strategic partnership with Conclusion. Together, we have set shared sustainability targets and are responsible for accomplishing those targets together. Our collaboration is robustly focused on achieving Eneco’s One Planet plan.’

Building on a successful partnership

The renewed partnership is an extension of the partnership that came into being in 2018. Since then, Conclusion has been responsible for activities that include:

  • The migration and 24/7 management of mission-critical IT environments
  • The development of mission-critical public cloud landing zones and hybrid integration services
  • The migration to, management, and development of the cloud for sustainable energy (SAP on Azure, S/4HANA)
  • The configuration of future-proof IoT and data streaming platforms to which Eneco’s mission-critical processes are connected

Over the past few years, Conclusion has expanded and strengthened its position as a preferred supplier and, in addition to Capgemini, is one of the energy group’s two strategic IT partners.

Gert Heysteeg, Director of IT Services at Conclusion: ‘Renewing our long-standing partnership with Eneco enables us to deploy the Conclusion ecosystem as we see it. Our multi-disciplinary services will

allow us to co-create in order to tackle the challenges of the energy transition over the next ten years with a client that occupies a central role in boosting the sustainability of the Netherlands.
