Optimising AFAS atDagelijks Leven

Care organisation Dagelijks Leven, which provides suitable housing for people with dementia, uses AFAS to support its business operations. Because every efficiency gain counts, new projects are launched each year in collaboration with Conclusion to further streamline care and organisational processes.

With care as its core task, Dagelijks Leven has limited in-house IT capacity. External AFAS and technology expertise is therefore essential to ensure reliable execution of core processes and to fully leverage new possibilities. For this, Dagelijks Leven works with Conclusion (delivery was led by Conclusion AFAS Solutions).

Processes and behaviour

Conclusion experts not only provide technical support but also optimise business processes. The focus is on simplifying organisational workflows using AFAS functionalities. Dagelijks Leven places strong emphasis on embedding these solutions within the organisation and in employee behaviour. After all, a solution must not only be technically sound—it must also prove its value in daily practice.

Multiple fronts

The Conclusion team ensures continuity in workflows, which is crucial for processes such as payroll, onboarding and other essential business activities. Any hiccups must be resolved immediately to safeguard reliability and uninterrupted operations.

Value stream analysis

At regular intervals, specialists from both organisations conduct a value stream analysis. This reveals where value is added and where waste occurs, helping identify meaningful improvements. Dagelijks Leven and Conclusion then work together to implement these changes. The analysis and implementation form a continuous process, with architecture and solution design at the centre—while also paying close attention to acceptance and adoption by care professionals and other staff.

Continuous improvement and optimization

New functionalities are thoroughly tested before going live. This creates a continuous cycle of improvement and optimisation within the AFAS environment. The approach has led to smoother workflows, reduced administrative burden and lighter workloads for care professionals. Processes now run more efficiently and with greater ease.

"Sustainable partnership for continuous innovation and optimal care "

Long-termPartnership

Conclusion deploys a dedicated team of specialists at Dagelijks Leven—and that commitment is appreciated. Collaboration reviews consistently score highly, particularly in communication. Working with familiar contacts contributes to deeper understanding of the organisation, its specific methods and processes. Often, staff only need to say half a sentence to make themselves understood. This accelerates collaboration and adds extra value.

In future, I see Conclusion AFAS Solutions taking on more of an advisory role. Collaboration is a two-way street. Success depends on our joint efforts to innovate and optimise. Ultimately, our goal is always to support our users as best we can—so they can focus on what truly matters: caring for our residents.
