Recap Tour de Conclusion: cycling, connecting and inspiring

During the Tour de Conclusion, 60 sporty colleagues had the opportunity to explore the Veluwe together with clients and former professional cyclists—on road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes. No meetings or formal conversations, but an active ride through hills, forests and heathlands, all under a radiant sun. Along the way, the cyclists were curiously observed by deer and Highland cattle.

Tour de Conclusion

A Relaxed Atmosphere from the Start

From the very beginning, the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. On the bike, traditional roles fade away: everyone rides side by side, shares a water bottle or a joke, and exchanges stories. It’s this dynamic that makes connecting with clients feel refreshingly different – and genuinely valuable.

An Inspiring Kickoff by Servais Knaven

Former professional cyclist Servais Knaven opened the day with an inspiring talk on leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Then it was time for action: guided by (former) pros, participants rode through the forests and hills surrounding Arnhem. Whether you were on a mountain bike, gravel bike, or road bike – there was a great challenge waiting for every type of rider.

A Unique Experience with Former Pros

For Jelle Hendriks from myAppX (part of myBrand Conclusion), the guidance from the former cyclists was an absolute highlight.
Jelle: “Servais Knaven, winner of the legendary Paris-Roubaix, joined the different groups on the bike after his keynote. Kenny van Hummel, a former sprinter, brought plenty of laughs along the way – a true icon with a treasure trove of stories. And Astrid Schop made a deep impression by conquering the Posbank alongside the strongest riders. Despite her age, the Tour de Femme winner showed what strength, flexibility, and determination really mean.”

“What I personally appreciated most were the tips and tricks shared by the former pros along the way: breathing more efficiently, keeping your hands in the drops during descents, riding in a rotating paceline. Small pieces of advice you could apply immediately.”

More Than Just a Sporting Event

For many colleagues, the Tour de Conclusion was not only a physical challenge, but also a meaningful and content-rich experience. Tom Ouwens from Conclusion Consulting, now a regular participant, shares:
“One moment that really stuck with me was my conversation with Servais about leadership and managing a cycling team – surprisingly relevant to our own professional practice.”

Tom sees the event as a way to strengthen connections not only with clients, but also between different organizations. This year, that led to a special encounter between his contact from the energy sector and someone from another Conclusion company: “Through myBrand Conclusion, a representative from another energy supplier was also invited. After the ride, a valuable conversation emerged between the two about developments in the energy sector and how they approach partnerships from a procurement perspective – including with Conclusion.”

Colleague Jelle also highlights the power of the event: “At the end of the day, one feeling stood out: this is exactly how I want to build lasting connections. By sweating together, laughing, pushing through and enjoying the ride. The Tour de Conclusion was sport, nature and connection all in one. I’m already looking forward to the next edition.”

The Tour de Conclusion shows how sport brings people together – not only colleagues, but also clients and partners. The event creates space for informal conversations, new encounters and deeper collaboration.
